I cannot tell how much I love the smoked turkey sandwich and hummus sandwich at Fleur bakery. Their lavender black tea and bakery items always amazes me too. They carry local MEM tea. They have various locations but this one is most probably my most favorite right in the heart of Mass Ave and MIT on my bike route.
Flour is a good cafe close to MIT. They have lots of seating space, but it gets super crowded on weekends and mornings typically. Their coffee is quite good and most of their sandwiches as well. Service there is always friendly.
Delicious baked goods, sweet staff, and a nice atmosphere :) The coffee cake was fabulous, quite heavy but amazingly so. The Boston creme pie was so light and rich! And the sticky bun was very good, sweet but not too much. Would absolutely recommend trying any of them! (You should definitely share them though, sugar rush!!) Also, they have free wifi, just ask for the password at the register!
The sticky bun is no doubt the best! Also love the salad, super refreshing and well-seasoning👍🏼 Croissant is one of my favorite too. Super crunchy on the outside and super soft with buttery flavor in the inside😋 Love it here!
This is a small central cafe/bakery. There is ample indoor seating with bar stools and normal tables. Equipped with guest wifi upon asking the staff for the password it is easy to spend more than an hour working on your laptop whilst enjoying a coffee. Food wise I tried an avocado toast and a mozzarella sandwich as well as a heated sticky bun. All three items were excellent and in my oppinion the sandwiches were worth the $10 and $11 pricetag. If you are looking for a quick bite or a sit down breakfast with friends this is a great address.
Seems to be a really popular spot, and is definitely for a good reason. I got the Brown Butter Pecan Blonde and the Strawberry Lemonade and both tasted amazing. The blondie wasn't overpoweringly sweet, which isn't always a given for bakeries like this. The Strawberry drink was bright and was a refreshing complement to the rich blondie. Though it was on the sweeter side, it was very sippable. Wait times and lines are slightly long given its popularity, but I think there's a way to order at a kiosk. If I'm remembering correctly, prices were pretty standard, about $3-6 for a pastry, $9-12 for a sandwich. Will definitely be back to try some more.
I had such a great experience with Kevin at Flour Bakery + Cafe. He was incredibly timely, organized, and made the whole process feel seamless from start to finish. We had a large catering order, and he went above and beyond by helping unpack everything, which made a huge difference on our end. It’s not always easy coordinating bigger orders, but Kevin handled it with professionalism and ease. Everything arrived as expected, and his support helped us stay on track and stress-free. Truly appreciate the level of care and attention he brought. Would absolutely recommend working with Flour.
Absolutely loved my visit to Flour Bakery + Café! The grilled cheese was perfectly crispy and comforting, and the chive cheddar scone was rich, buttery, and full of flavor. The cappuccino was bold and delicious—just the right kick. A cozy spot with amazing food and great vibes. Can’t wait to come back!
I have visited Flour Bakery a couple of times and am also pleased with my coffee and this last time a sandwich! It is conveniently located and for the most part are pretty quick with the order. I highly recommend that you order on the app ahead of time as the Mass Ave location can get pretty busy during peak times. I really enjoyed the sticky buns here and will definitely come back again!
Excellent bakery with hot food. The banana bread would have been better heated up but was still very good at room temperature. The vegetarian bun was exceptional!
